1. Number Of Pages: You need 2 things:
1) No. Of Pages of your book. Do not include the covers in the count. and
2) if they are printed in Color or Black & White. You can choose from different paper option based on your needs.
Note: We do not offer the option of mixing B&W with color pages within the same book. If you need that option please request a
custom quote.
2. Book Cover Printing Option: Here you will select how you want the covers to be printed. There are 2 options to choose from:
1)Printed in full color with High Gloss UV Coating on one side. The Inside is Blank.
2) Same as 1 but you can have printed on the inside in Black ONLY. By the way the paper we use for these soft cover books is 10pt. Card Stock (C1S).
3. Artwork for Book Cover: The Book Cover is very critical for your book to get attention and thus sell more. It is highly recommended to work with a graphic designer to design a catchy looking cover. The cover consists of 3 parts: Front Cover, Spine & Back Cover. Based on the size of the book you are ordering the front & back cover will remain the same, but the spine thickness will vary based on the number of pages. We have provided some templates to help in setting up the cover graphics properly. Also you can use the
Spine Thickness Calculator (use the correct paper) to get the width of the spine. There are 2 options to choose from:
1)Upload Print Ready PDF file. Here you will be providing us a proper print ready PDF for the wraparound cover. Please send us at least 300 dpi resolution PDF for the cover (
font outlined &
image embedded) OR
2) Let our graphic designer create an attractive cover for you.
4. Files for Inside Pages: Most probably you will be writing the book in some word processing software like Microsoft Word. If that is the case then you can download our Word Template for this Book Size (see below in the template section) so that you can format your book properly. If you are using any other page layout program like InDesign or Quark then you have to make sure to format it as per our requirement (see the word template). Once your book is formatted properly then you have to convert it to a PDF format. There are 2 options to choose here:
1)
Do it yourself - convert to a PDF and upload the print ready file OR
2) We will convert to a Print Ready PDF and send you an online Proof to look at.
5. Bleeds on Inside Pages: Do you have color, lines, images or artwork going to the edge of that paper? If Yes, then you have Bleeds on the Inside Page, if not then Select No. Read more about
Bleeds. Only thing to be pointed out here is that if there are bleeds then the book size is smaller than a No Bleed Size.
6. Binding: Each book is Perfect Bound with a soft cover, very similar to the books you can buy in regular book stores.
7. Proofing: 2 Options to choose from
1) Get a FREE PDF Proof by email OR
2) Get a hard copy proof of the book overnighted to you. Yes, that is correct. The real deal. You just pay for the printing, we cover the shipping. (highly recommended)
